This website produces a number RSS feeds of wise words. Each feed cycles through a fixed collection of texts. The cycles repeat, over and over, to keep us coming back to the texts through time. Presently, the readings cycle through a Quaker document called Advices and Queries (A&Q).
For years, I used to carry a copy of A&Q in my backpack. I had several bookmarks that I moved through the text. On my transit ride to work, I would read the advice or query at each bookmark and them move the bookmark to the next section. This setup was constantly cycling through A&Q.
Now, I no longer ride transit to work. I am much more likely to look at my RSS feed reader than my printed copy of A&Q. And so, I’ve implemented a similar system for reading through the Advices and Queries day-by-day via RSS.
This project was inspired by Timeful Texts by Matushak and Nielsen. It is run by Parker Glynn-Adey. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please reach out to me by e-mail. I would be happy to add additional texts.
Thanks for reading! If you have any comments or questions about the content, please let me know. Anyone can contact me by email.
